On 25th August 2024, Dr. Jonaidah Hashim paid a nostalgic visit to the Lau King Howe Hospital Memorial Museum. Dr. Jonaidah began her distinguished career as a medical officer at the historic Lau King Howe Hospital from 1986 to 1989, a period that laid the foundation for her lifelong commitment to healthcare. Now 69 years old and enjoying the well-earned rewards of retirement, Dr. Jonaidah reflects with pride and warmth on her decades-long journey in the medical field.

On 11th July 2024, Dr. Low Yock Ngan visited the Lau King Howe Hospital Memorial Museum. Dr. Low Yock Ngan began her distinguished career as a staff nurse in the Psychiatric Ward at Lau King Howe Hospital in 1994. Her dedication and expertise in the field of psychiatric nursing have had a lasting impact on both patients and colleagues. Now, years later, we are thrilled to welcome her back and celebrate her contributions to the healthcare community.


On 4th July 2024, Dr. Goh Hak Su visited the Lau King Howe Hospital Memorial Museum. Dr. Goh Hak Su worked as a surgeon at Lau King Howe Hospital from 1980 until 1981. With a remarkable career spanning over several decades, Dr. Goh has dedicated his life to the field of medicine and has made significant contributions to surgical practices. Now at 76 years old, he continues to inspire many with his dedication, expertise, and passion for healthcare.




On 2nd July 2024, a group of visitors from Foochow Arts and Culture Association Manjung, Perak lead by Mr. Cheng Ee Na, accompanied by the association secretary, Mr. Lau Kim Foo visited the Lau King Howe Hospital Memorial Museum.


On 27th June 2024, Puan Norjannah Binti Abas visited the Lau King Howe Hospital Memorial Museum. Puan Norjannah Binti Abas began her esteemed career as a staff nurse at Lau King Howe Hospital from 1993 to 1994. Her dedication and commitment to nursing have led her to achieve the prestigious position of Nursing Matron at the Sarawak Heart Centre. With over three decades of experience in healthcare, Puan Norjannah has made significant contributions to the well-being of countless patients. At 54 years old, she continues to inspire with her unwavering passion for nursing and exceptional leadership skills.

On 11th May 2024, Dato Dong Sech Sing (President of The Federation of Foochow Associations of Malaysia), Mr. Tony Tong, and Mr. Ding Siew Chee from The Federation of Foochow Associations of Malaysia, led by Lau King Howe Hospital Memorial Museum Secretary, Mr. Lau Kim Foo, visited the Lau King Howe Hospital Memorial Museum. On 11th May 2024, Puan Mariam Binti Rosli visited the Lau King Howe Hospital Memorial Museum. Puan Mariam Binti Rosli's journey in healthcare began as a staff nurse at Lau King Howe Hospital, where she dedicated two years of her life from 1992 to 1994. Over the years, her commitment to nursing excellence led to her current position as a Matron at Mukah Hospital. Now, at the age of 56, she stands as a beacon of experience and wisdom in the healthcare field, continuing to serve her community with dedication and professionalism.


On 7th May 2024, a group of visitors from Sibu Tourism Board, Visitor's Information Centre, Travel Agency, and Sibu Municipal Council visited the Lau King Howe Hospital Memorial Museum.






On 9th April 2024, Mr. Bernard Lee Teck Ming, a retired pharmacy assistant who dedicated an impressive 36 years of service at Lau King Howe Hospital from 1957 until 1993, is now 85 years old. He, along with his family, Madam Alphonsa Wong Su Ding (his wife), and Ms. Rachel Ruth Wong Wen Jin (his granddaughter), visited the Lau King Howe Hospital Memorial Museum. Ms. Rachel Ruth Wong Wen Jin (granddaughter), pointed out her grandfather, Mr. Bernard Lee Teck Ming. After that, they, along with the museum manager, Mr. John Ting, posed for a photo after their visit to the Lau King Howe Hospital Memorial Museum's Pharmacy Section.


On 26th March 2024, Mr. Andy Chua, reporter from The Star, interviewed the museum manager, Mr. John Ting. After interview, the manager, Mr. John Ting presented a souvenir to the Mr. Andy Chua.

On 27th February 2024, Dr. Noormi Binti Othman, (Principal Director of Oral Health, Ministry of Health Malaysia), accompanied by her husband, Tuan Razif, Dr. Aminuddin Bin Mohd Natar (Deputy State Health Director of Oral Health, Sarawak State Health Department), and Dr. Mustaffa Bin Jaapar (Senior Principal Assistant Director, Oral Health Programme Ministry of Health Malaysia), led by Dr. Wong Siong Ting (Sibu Divisional Dental Officer, Sibu Divisional Dental Office), Matron Santha, and Tuan Johnny Lanyan, visited the Lau King Howe Hospital Memorial Museum.
